Andrés Aguilera is a Professor of Genetics at the University of Seville and a Director of the Andalusian Centre of Molecular Biology and Regenerative Medicine (CABIMER). His research focuses on genome stability, DNA repair, and R-loop biology. His work was pivotal in dissecting the role of R-loops in transcription-replication conflicts, as well as the identification of the eukaryotic THO complex.
