106 Million Euros for excellent research

The Boehringer Ingelheim foundation and the state of Rhineland Palatinate announced today the continuation of IMB's core funding beyond its first funding period. Starting in autumn 2020, the Boehringer Ingelheim foundation will contribute €54 million, the state of Rhineland Palatinate €52 million. This second round of financing secures IMB's core funding until mid-2027. It follows the generous donation of €100 million by the Boehringer Ingelheim foundation in 2010, which provided core funding for IMB through the period 2010 to 2020. IMB is housed in a state of the art research building that was funded by the state of Rhineland Palatinate with €50 million in 2010.
