Until when can I apply to the IMB Postdoc Programme (IPPro)?

The deadline for online registration is 13 January 2020 at 12:00 noon CET; application will be open until 20 January 2020 at 12:00 noon CET. Please notice that if you have not registered online, you cannot apply.

Who can apply to the IPPro?

We are looking for exceptionally bright and ambitious postdocs and graduating PhD students who are eager to face the challenges of working at the forefront of science in an international environment. For more information, see Apply to the IPPro call.

Is there an age limit?

There is no age limit to enter the IPPro. 

What is the working language of IMB?

The official working language at IMB is English. 

Can I apply for more than one PI?

Yes, in our application form you can indicate the names of up to 5 principal investigators with whom you would like to work. However, we strongly recommend you to narrow down your choices to as few as possible, in order to make your application stronger and better tailored to the position you apply for.

I do not have a PhD yet. Can I apply?

If you are expecting to complete your doctoral studies within 6 months from the application deadline, then you are eligible. Please, indicate the date of prospective end of your doctoral studies in your online application.

Will I receive confirmation after registering online?

Yes, you will. Once you have submitted your online registration, you will receive an email with a personalised link to the application form. If you do not receive it, please check if your spam filter has blocked the email.

Do I have to provide a certificate as proof of my English skills?

No, this is not a requirement. However, proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is a prerequisite for working at IMB.

How many reference letters do I need to support my application?

You need two reference letters.

How much time do the referees have to upload their reference letters?

Referees can upload their letters via the link provided until the deadline on 20 January at 12:00 noon CET.

My referee has not received an email with the link and the request to submit the reference letter for me. What should I do?

Please contact your referee to check if perhaps her/his spam filter has blocked our email. If this is not the case, please contact the IPPro Office.

Can I make changes to my application after submitting it?

No, unfortunately you cannot make changes after submitting your application. We advise that you prepare all the necessary documents and information before you start the online application.

If my application is unsuccessful, can I apply again for future calls?

Yes, you are welcome to apply again. However, please note that our system will not save your application, so you will have to register and fill out the necessary forms again.
